In a recent Atlanta Journal Constitution opinion piece Dr. Boston argues for a broader approach to conquering Atlanta's high crime rate. Going against the common approach of simply increasing the number of police on the streets, Dr. Boston states, "The village I have in mind consists of a combination of adequate police resources, strategies centered on improving housing and neighborhood quality and affordability, and increasing the civic engagement of residents."
