New Economic Initiative in Alliance with Urban Entreprenuership Program

Client Request

NEI was established to revitalize the economies and neighborhoods of Southeast Michigan in light of the current status of the auto industry. NEI has partnered with the Urban Entrepreneur Partnership (UDP) to restore jobs, industrial activity and create opportunities for small and minority businesses in the region.

Euquant Solution

EuQuant has been engaged to assist this activity by conducting program evaluations, database management services and an environmental scan of emerging industry sector opportunities. The purpose is to determine the feasibility of small and minority-owned businesses transforming their production processes to new more productive supply chain operations outside of the auto industry. EuQuant will assemble a database of small businesses in the region and assess their ability to transform their supply chain operations in new more profitable directions.

EuQuant Deliverables

EuQuant’s specific tasks include the following: conduct the program evaluation’s and identify tracking metrics, Design a database and data capture strategy, Establish baseline metrics for the program evaluation; Track, evaluate and analyze UEP's program activity; which includes the Following: Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA), ROI analysis, business capacity analysis, program evaluation, an economic impact analysis of program activity on jobs, income and industrial activity in Southeast Michigan.
